What is hair lamination?
Lamination of hair is a procedure for strengthening and improving the appearance of hair, which consists in applying to all hair a certain composition. This composition helps to thicken the hair, protect it from harmful physical factors (such as sunlight, salt water, etc.). That is why the lamination procedure is so popular among women planning to go on vacation at sea. After all, on vacation I do not want to spend time and energy on styling and hair care. The laminating composition is a film that does not interfere with the respiration of the hair, but at the same time protects them from harmful effects.
Lamination procedure
Lamination can be carried out on hair of any length and any condition. However, the effect of the procedure is best seen on damaged hair. It is on them that the laminating composition is better held and fixed. For especially damaged hair, the lamination procedure must be carried out several times. The procedure itself in the cabin consists of three main steps and is performed as follows:
- Deep cleansing. Hair is washed with a specialized shampoo that completely rinses off all impurities. It removes sebum and reveals hair flakes. After washing the hair with such a shampoo, any product is absorbed much better.
- Applying a nourishing mask. The next step is to apply a nourishing mask to the hair, which nourishes the hair, fills the damage and prepares the hair for applying the laminating agent.
- Application of a laminating agent. The third step is to apply a laminating composition to the hair. Before this, it is necessary to dry the hair with a hairdryer. After applying the laminating composition, the hair is left for several minutes, after which the composition is washed off, and the lamination procedure is completed.
