What girl doesn’t like to change? It is with this property that women differ from men. The lady constantly wants to change her image, add bright notes to it, or vice versa make it calmer. Someone prefers radical image changes and decides to make some extraordinary haircut, while someone, on the contrary, tries to maintain his natural look and resortes only to partial changes, for example, hair coloring. Recently, we have already talked about such staining techniques as highlighting and bronding, today we’ll talk about fashionable coloring. In this article we will tell you what coloring is, what it is used for and what colorization techniques are.
What is coloring?
Coloring technique involves coloring hair in several different natural shades. However, there is a kind of creative coloring. It can use completely unexpected shades. It all depends on the desire of the woman and the skilled hands of the master.
IMPORTANT! The coloring procedure is best carried out by a trusted professional master, since the coloring technique itself is very complex, and not everyone can perform it qualitatively.
Coloring Techniques
There are a huge number of coloring techniques, despite the fact that there are only two types of coloring: vertically and horizontally. Vertical coloring involves coloring the strands in about 19 different shades (although many people think that vertical coloring starts from 4 shades). At the same time, each strand must be painted in one shade. Horizontal coloring implies the presence of only 4 shades. Hair at horizontal coloring is divided into 3 segments and each of these segments into several more. Then the darkest tone is applied at the roots, the lightest at the tips, and the middle is painted in a medium tone.
There are 6 basic colorizing techniques:
- American coloring. Perfect for brunettes. When using the American coloring technique, it is necessary to choose 5 different shades suitable for the natural color of the hair. For fair-haired girls, this technique is not suitable.
- Coloring “Salt and pepper”. Ideal for fair-haired girls and those who need to paint over gray hair, since at the roots the hair is painted in lighter shades, and the tips are made darker.
- Multi-color coloring. This technique involves completely arbitrary coloring of the locks in all natural shades. This technique will look equally good on both dark and blond hair. Age, as well as natural hair color, also does not play a special role.
- Coloring on a bang. This technique speaks for itself. It involves coloring only bangs, despite the fact that the bulk of the hair is not used at all.
- Zone coloring. This coloring technique involves coloring only certain sections of hair. Zonal coloring also means creating unique patterns on the hair. But for this it is necessary to use brighter shades to make the pattern noticeable.
- Neon coloring. Looks great on dark hair. With neon coloring, bright and catchy shades are used, due to which the image looks even slightly defiant.Using this technique, the hair is first lightened, and only then the strands are dyed in bright colors. The disadvantage of this technique can be considered the fragility of such staining. After 2 weeks, the paint from the lock begins to wash off.
